    MEMORY IMPROVEMENT CLASS WITH RST
    LA CONNER SENIOR CENTER
    104 COMMERCIAL STREET

    10:45-11:45 AM- March 6th, 2025-April 24th, 2025.

With calming sounds we enter a comforting and restful silent time together and experience deep healing peacefulness and bliss.

This class is for anyone wishing to improve their memory. Scientific studies show that in silence, the brain grows new neurons in the brain’s memory center, the hippocampus. So, to help our brain and improve our memory we need silence. Resonant Silence Technique (RST) ® provides a path into silence through subtle sound and breathing. With simple RST exercises, we quiet our mind and improve our memory.

This class is also for those who are caring for a loved one with dementia, Parkinson’s and related conditions. Caregivers will learn to quiet their minds so that they can help their loved ones find the healing stillness within themselves.

Class is on a free-will offering basis.

    COURSE OUTLINE

    FIRST CLASS

Nurturing an awareness of the presence of stillness within ourselves and preparing our minds to receive and appreciate silence. Learning to listen to silence.

RST 1~ The First Resonant Silence Technique Exercise

RST 2~ The Second RST exercise RST 2

Sitting for a moment or two after doing an RST exercise in order to allow the slight shifts in consciousness and the beneficial changes from the RST meditations to fully integrate into our mind and body.

When sharing RST in professional settings, emphasizing the importance of selecting quiet rooms for our RST Therapeutic sessions with a door that can be closed for privacy and added stillness. For optimum RST effectiveness it is vital for the RST session not to be interrupted by nursing visits and other intrusions.

    SECOND CLASS

The sonic research of Rabbi/physicist Aryeh Kaplan which partly led to the development of RST.

The energetics of sound or how sound feels to us and how sound affects us.

    RST 3~ Third RST exercise.

    THIRD CLASS

And now we can begin to live (love) again

    FOURTH CLASS

The Science Behind Silence~ The scientific studies about the benefits of silence from my scientific paper published in 2018.

Learning to play the Zenergy ® One Tone Chime and listening to the sound it creates.

Learning and experiencing how the two types of sound called vibrato and harmonics slow our brain waves and nurture our consciousness of quiet.

    FIFTH CLASS

Practice the Zenergy ® One Tone Chime

Learning to remain separate and objective when we share RST and enter silence with others. Remaining separate allows us to continue to be aware of our client/patient’s responses so that we can be aware when they need help. When we loose ourselves in our own meditation, we stop paying attention to our patients and then we can’t help them which is what we are there for.
